Offering Classes in Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do to Northern Arizona
Northern Arizona Martial Arts School of Chung Do Kwan (dba Flagstaff Chung Do Kwan) has been providing quality instruction of traditional Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do to our Northern Arizona community for approximately forty years.

We are a non-profit organization run by volunteer instructors with decades of experience dedicated to the preservation and continuation of traditional Chung Do Kwan as presented in the United States by Grandmaster Duk Sung Son in the 1960s.
Our school is currently accepting students at a minimum age of 8 with no upper age limit. Through emphasis on balance, focus, accuracy speed and power of technique, we attempt to instill discipline, respect, character, integrity, humility, confidence, honor, perseverance and indomitable spirit in our students.

What to expect: After a brief warmup, we engage in a set pattern of active stretches. We next practice prescribed sets of blocks, kicks and strikes. Following this, class is broken into rank, much like grades in other schools. Students are taught different kata depending on rank. Ranks range from white belt to higher levels of black belt. Higher ranking students not only learn more complex kata, but are expected to perform all lower kata with increased mental and physical focus and acuity. Class continues with three step sparring, one step sparring, free sparring, self-defense, and/or bag work. All sparring is non-contact (other than defensive blocking contact). Class concludes with static stretching emphasizing breathing, relaxation and meditative technique. Yang Tai Chi practice is also available for those interested.
Contact information: You may start anytime. Prior to your first class, please contact Master Brad Bransky, 6th Dan, 928-266-5320, bradb42@yahoo.com.
